You can see by these pictures that we had a great day. We celebrated two cousins birthdays today. It is the first time in four years that all the cousins have been in the same spot. Uncle Anthony started the water fight by the way. & yes my husband looks amazing in that green frog towel! I'm not sure who had more fun today - the kids, papa, or all the crazy uncles.

My body has changed its course since my pancreas decided it does not want to be friends with me. This means that my mind has to change its course with food and eating habits. But I love baking. My mom gave me a new cookbook called "Baby Cakes". All the recipes are gluten free, dairy free, & 'mostly sugar free'. Today I went to Henry's to stock up on my new pantry. Note to others. Try to buy one item each shopping trip as to avoid sticker shock when purchasing your new favorite flour, flax & xanthan gum. Anyhow I whipped up a batch of the choc chip cookies and they were every bit as delicious as normal. (minus the cookie dough which tasted like flax). All in all a huge success. Aubrey was sleeping in her boppy.

naughty me

I just got myself a tall vanilla latte. Heaven. On. Earth. Oh my I have been in a blur the past few weeks playing full time mommy. This morning is my half birthday and so needing to celebrate I threw all health to the wind and got myself a latte. I needed it after staying up last night baking two pumpkin pies. Did I say health? They are for my family. I don't even really like pumpkin pies. Just the smell and the remembrance that fall is my favorite. I think I'll miss KC most come October. We are off to the desert today after kurto gets off work. I am so excited to go rest for a bit and celebrate life & family. Off to give Aubrey a bath... formula babies require much more bathing as the smell of old formula in chubby folds stinks to high heaven! It triggers my gag reflex many a night.
