Turkey & the Weavers

I'm glad my title didn't say Turkey AT the Weavers. We were all sick once again and after some medication and morning naps we did manage to make it for some thanksgiving dinner at the Weissmanns house. Izzy seemed to be the one fine for the day (thanks to 48hrs of antibiotics). We had a short visit and after a friend commented on my plate (or lack there of) I decided I might need to implement a new Thanksgiving menu. Does anyone else not really like Thanksgiving dinner? On my list of not likes were two of the things I had to bring. Green bean casserole & Pumpkin Pie. Call me not American but I just don't like gravy or mushed up veggies with marshmallows. We even skipped out before dessert so Happy Thanksgiving! I think I was called to be Italian or something. The highlight of the meal was Dave pouring some squash soup all over his plate thinking it was the gravy. He sat down with his orangish turkey & mash potatoes & Christina & I busted up laughing. Sorry Dave. Good thing I don't like gravy or the two things on my plate might have been ruined.

Deep Fried Turkey...

Un fortunately it doesnt make too much juice for gravy, which I really like if its dark and spicy on mashed potatoes.

I normally do not like sweet potatoes, but Something Kelsey did made them rock...

Im up for Italian Thanksgiving next year. How about Lasagna????
