Is it just me or does anyone else buy their children presents that are practical for their birthday until they are of the age where they catch on to such things? I bought Aubrey new shoes this year. New crayons. Big girl undies. The only one disturbed was Israel. He keeps telling people "Aubrey got shoes for her birthday." He is stuck on the issue. Anyhow I am happy to buy her something practical but something that I would normally not spend the extra money on. These shoes are by far my favorite of hers, especially with her birdy pants, blond piggies & stomping in the puddles. I just am loving this girl these days.
