Early mornings with Israel

My sweet Israel. Oh how I love this little man. I was getting a bit sad yesterday. (emotionally sappy mixed with prego hormones was more like it). He & I were outside and he grabbed my hand. "I love holding your hand mommy". Enough to make me dreamy and cry. Oh Israel. It's not just going to me Iz & me anymore. Izzy has been my little buddy and in this Missouri climate of cold winters locked in the house & family far in CA & only a few wonderful little Izzy friends around I have been his whole world. It's mom to build a track, mom to color, mom to eat pickles with, mom to make popcorn with, mom to go to Starbucks with (ha!) etc. Not that dad isn't Izzy's world either. Yesterday Israel informed me that he wanted dad to drive because Dad was a better driver! Israel & his daddy go Frisbee golfing together, get slurpies together, also go to Starbucks together (catching a theme?), watch cartoons together, etc. But for a stay at home mommy who is constant this and constant that... well my izzy has won my heart. I am praying that my heart will grow in that miracle of motherhood to make room for more love for my new little one. I'm just trying to value this time with Izzy. Just me and him. Feels like my baby is growing up! Feels like I'm way to sappy for 8am. All right (tear, tear), on to other things.

This verse really impacted my heart this week. Actually this entire chapter. A friend prayed this over me in the prayer room and i have been chewing on it ever since.

"He tends his flock like a shepherd. He gathers the lambs in his arms & carried them close to his heart. He gently leads those that have young." Isaiah 40:11

You and I seem to be on a similar wave length in the verses that impact us at a certain point in time. Just this past week I was having a discussion about that verse with my parents. On another note, I cried too when I was prego with Eli thinking about how Miles' life was never going to be just me and him again. It's a rough realization but God works out the logistics in amazing ways! Good luck with those hormones sister!

Hey Katch!

Funny things... my girls are 4 1/2 years apart! Angelina was our world for all that time, but it's worked out wonderfully with Zoe added too! Angelina LOVES having a sister very much! And, trust me. :) Your heart has so much room for more kiddos! I promise you this!! God has blessed you so much, and I am thrilled for you all!
